  • Work safely and abide by OHSA regulations and Teknion policies and procedures pertaining to Lock Out/Tag Out, Confined Space, Hot Work, Working from Heights and other as applicable.
  • Trouble shoot and repair problems on machines and equipment.
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance activities according to schedule. Alter activities and schedule as required to improve machine reliability\performance
  • Create Work Orders based on deficiencies observed when executing your duties
  • Respond to Work Orders assigned by management
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects
  • Provide back up to other mechanics and locations on an as needed basis.
  • Start Up machinery and equipment before the start of production shifts
  • Verify machinery and equipment is shut down at end of shift.
  • Maintain stock of commonly used spare parts.
  • Available to work weekends and overtime


  • Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) 433A Licence or Electrician
  • Ability to read drawings (electrical\mechanical\pneumatic\hydraulic)
  • Knowledge of pneumatic applications and power transmission equipment.
  • Electrical troubleshooting skills as it relates to industrial controls
  • Licensed to operate scissor lift and forklift.
  • Ability to operate manual and power hand tools including levels, compressors, drills, sanders etc.
  • Knowledge of various manufacturing processes: CNC machines, Brake Press, Welding, Paintline, and assembly fixtures.

Location: North York

Wage Range: $30 -$32/hour
