$25 per hour minimum (negotiable)
7-month contract position (extendable)
Day Shift (with flexibility to work Afternoons preferred)
Job Summary:

Reporting to the Supervisor, Quality Control, as the Final Inspection Technician, you will be responsible for inspection and acceptance of detail and complete landing gear components, as well as review and archive documentation including the traceability verification process.
Primary Responsibilities:

•Inspect material or parts for damage or discrepancies
•Perform inspection & acceptance of detail parts at Final inspection, following Goodrich quality procedures and specific instructions
•Conduct traceability verification activities
•Scan and index certification documentation into document management system (Fortis)
•Comply with Technical Data and Export requirements (x-Class, TextPort)
•Complete First Article Inspections (F.A.I.) as per AS9102
•Evaluate products for acceptance criteria and initiate rejection process where required
•Complete diverse paperwork and systems records for traceability and movement of products; perform product and process audits as required
•Perform work safely with heavy parts using a variety of inspection tools
•Apply 5S workplace organization principals to support Continuous Improvement (CI)
•Will be required to work independently and with minimal supervision to complete tasks
•Note: the qualified applicant will be required after adequate training and experience to certify & buy-off products or assembly units for shipments
•Perform other duties as assigned

•College Diploma, preferably in a technical discipline an asset
•5 years’ Quality Inspection Experience required
•Aerospace industry experience would be considered an asset – ideal candidate have worked in the aviation/airline industry certifying parts
•Completion of relevant quality control certification or willingness to improve through continuous education & training
•Demonstrated experience in blueprint reading and understanding of geometric tolerancing (GD&T)
•Skilled and experienced in using a variety of measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers & bore gauges
•Strong PC skills; demonstrated accuracy with data entry & demonstrated experience with SAP or any database software application
•Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written to support the team and customer relations
•Must be willing and able to work afternoons (3pm – 11pm)
