Job Summary:

This person will act as project manager with broad responsibility for the successful implementation of multiple Continuous Improvement (CI) projects or phases of significantly complex projects with strategic business impact. Stimulates management thinking about process improvements; develops and champions new process initiatives; demonstrates the successful application of new methodologies; seeks out and pilots new tools and creates innovative strategies.
Duties & Responsibilities:

•Analyzing and planning work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, manufacturing methods, and cost analysis systems to promote process and value stream improvements.
•Conferring with Planning, Quality, and Design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods that meet specifications.
•Discussing with management and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
•Works with business leadership to identify, define the scope of lean improvement opportunities.
•Coaches, trains and develops lean improvement team members and other personal.
•Serves as technical resource to support other lean analyses, as requested.
•Captures and communicates significant learning’s to enable best practice-sharing and replication.
•Help establish new manufacturing lines and provide suggestions for existing production lines.
•Provide lean training and assist in the creation of lean curriculum.
•Participating in and leading product/process improvement projects.
•Analyzing data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of finished product.
•Developing line layout to assemble parts or products to promote efficient utilization.
•Other duties as assigned by management.

•Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s Degree preferred – focus in Manufacturing Technology or Industrial Engineering preferred
•7-10 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer / Lean Leader
•Black Belt / Lean Certification
•Experience with applying lean principles
•Ability to interact with all levels of the organization
•Excellent computer skills
•Support the establishment of master-plans and implementation of Hoshin Kanri
