Job Description

Temporary Sales Assistant II

Location: Savannah, GA
Salary: TBD based on experience
Contract Duration: 1 Year + (up to 4 years)

Unique Skills:
• Position will be located in the Savannah Service Center
• Temporary position – Will need support until January 2019
• First Shift

Experience/Education:
• Associate's Degree in marketing, business administration required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job
• Four (4) years related experience with at least
• Two (2) years in the sales support process

Position Purpose:
Under limited supervision, provide executive level support in the aircraft sales process. Maintain daily communication with all levels of internal and external customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Gather various data and prepare customer proposals for accurate and timely presentation
2. Maintain and utilize SalesLogix/SAP, a customer relationship management tool to establish accurate customer information in order to facilitate aircraft sales and to provide accurate reporting data for senior management and General Dynamics
3. Assist and prepare sales/contract documents including sales proposals, deal sheets and financial information. Deliver effective, accurate information for potential buyers and key representatives.
4. Establish the fundamentals of customer visits. Communicate with the customer to determine essential factors of the visit. Provide background research on the customer/company to initiate the planning process
5. Arrange and coordinate all aspects of external and internal meetings to include, but not limited to: meeting rooms, lodging, catering, transportation and customer dinners
6. Perform various tasks associated with corporate events including air shows, demo tours, trade conventions, and customer related activities. Attend domestic/international events to greet customers, manage meeting rooms and coordinate requests
7. Perform various support services which may include preparing reports, making travel arrangements, and/or screening calls
8. Coordinate, assist and execute direct mail activities
9. Participate in team meetings, including briefing, planning and debriefing meetings as directed by sales management
10. Participate in special team projects as directed
11. May arrange flight demo requests for sales directors to include coordination with Flight Operations, customers and final approval process. Coordinate and follow up on prospect and customer visits at all GAC sites
12. Travel as required to support events

Other Requirements:
1. Possess ability to understand and work with corporate structure, programs, and procedures
2. Knowledge of the business aircraft marketplace and technical knowledge of the aircraft
3. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities
4. Strong interpersonal, professional business-like verbal, written and overall communication skill
5. Must possess initiative, poise, persistence and ability to gather information under many diverse conditions
6. In addition to duties performed during normal business hours, must be available as needed outside normal work schedule, due to domestic or international business demands
7. Must have knowledge and understanding of international cultures, customs and time zones
8. Must be able to type 60 wpm and be proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
9. SalesLogix/SAP experience preferred
